introducing… {in black & white}

So I kind of cheated last week and posted The Black Book of Colours in this category. Well, consider this a formal introduction to the {in black & white} special feature! Many debate and many outright declare that black and white are not colours but rather, a shade and tint who only function to darken and lighten hues. That is just far too technical and clinical for my taste. I absolutely love the graphic strength of black and white especially when they are used in combination with bright punches of colour. Long story short? Black and white are full-fledged colours in these neck of the woods and are most deserving of a special feature devoted to their unrivalled style, power and possibilities. More to come in black and white!

one week of colour

I can’t believe plenty of colour has actually been around for a week! Thanks everyone for your support, comments, retweets and visits. Over the next bit, I will be introducing more of my special features. Also, up until now, I have only been posting once in the a.m. but that should change to several posts throughout the day as it is always nice to have something new and bright to look at during the afternoon slump! If you have any ideas or things you would like to see, please send them my way. Looking forward to even more colour inspiration hunting for many weeks to come! - Chloé

braille birds

I didn’t intend on making a theme of sight today but it just seemed to happen that way! I guess I have always been fascinated by braille and it reminded me of a paper installation I took a photo of in Montreal last spring. It was a stunning piece featuring handmade paper birds fluttering about. In this case, any other colour would have been distracting from the feeling of peace and serenity.
