take a train to a magical land

How stunning is this photograph by Oleg Gordienko? Such a gorgeously leafy tunnel feels like proof that trains really do head to magical lands (à la Harry Potter). I can’t seem to find any information about this special spot other than that it is in the Ukraine. If you know more, please let me know!

Thanks everyone! Glad I’m not the only one that sees something magical here :) Ilse, I have not heard anything about this not being real? I have only seen it described as a real photograph… If I hear any different, I will update my post. I’m keeping my faith that this is a real and special spot!

I love this, of course it’s real, one must believe! I would love to take a trip through this amazing tunnel.

It may be real, but plants don’t grow like that unless they’re invasive…which is a bad thing.

@Matthias,

That google map location seems to be a double track mainline with telephone poles. Could you be more specific if you really know where it is?

Thanks!

Local people call it Tunnel of Love. It’s located in Kleven, Ukraine my mom is from there.

This image is not from the Ukrane. I shot the same location this past January as shown the in the following link. January in Mexico is dry and browning so this shot is a much better than mine.

Keep in mind that some photographers geolink images on google maps, flickr, and stuck on earth with false locations to allow them to show up in searches but provide no clues for other photographers to visit and replicate.

Take Coba road from Tulum to Chichen Itza and you will pass but this location.
You must slow down so you will see it for sure.
